What is AppiPure D3-3000 & K2-100?
Vitamin D3-3000 & K2-100 provides a synergistic blend of two important nutrients Vitamin D3 3000iu as Cholecalciferol & Vitamin K2 100µg as Menaquinone-7 ie MK7. Vitamin D3 is derived from animal sources and fermented foods, and evidence suggests it works synergistically together with K2.
Vitamin K2 is a long chain nutrient, and the optimal source is MK7. It shows to be the highest activity in humans compared to Vitamin K MK-4, MK-2, or MK-1. The higher efficacy of MK-7 is down to its bioavailability and longer life span than previously mentioned forms.
Nutrients & Functions?
Vitamins D3 and K2 are both fat-soluble vitamins each having an important role in calcium metabolism.
Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin that offers many benefits to the body. It contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, muscle function, teeth & immune system, normal utilisation of calcium and phosphorus, normal blood calcium levels and has a role in the process of cell division.
Vitamin K contributes to inhibition of arterial calcification and arterial stiffening, normal blood clotting, reduces tiredness and normalises energy levels, maintenance of normal bones, and lowers the risk of vascular damage because it activates matrix GLA protein.
Public Health England recommends that everyone should consider taking a vitamin D supplement during the winter and people who are at greater risk of low vitamin D levels should consider taking vitamin D supplements all year round.
