Nutrients & Functions?
→ Acerola Cherries: Acerola cherries are nutrient-dense and are commonly found in tropical regions of the Western Hemisphere. They produce cherry-like berries but are not a true cherry. They are particularly high in bio-available vitamin C. Researchers have identified nearly 150 nutritive constituents, which include bioflavonoids, proteins, mineral salts, iron, calcium, and phosphorus.
→ Rosehips: Known as ‘fruit of the rose’, are usually red-orange but yellow and black combinations can be found. They produce their colour from carotenoid pigments known as lycopene and beta carotene, which have shown to promote skin and eye health. Rosehips are rich in nutrients and antioxidants, especially vitamin C, catechins, quercetin, and ellagic acid.
Rosehips are rich in nutrients and offer disease-fighting properties and maintain a role in the health and beauty industry. A diet rich in these compounds may help lower inflammation and oxidative stress in bones and joints thus aid in flexibility. Though Rosehips are naturally rich in Vitamin C, our Rosehip Fusion offers additional Vitamin C to help promote collagen synthesis, immunity, digestive support, and support skin and hair.
→ Blackcurrant: Contains an array of beneficial phytonutrients, is abundantly rich in Vitamin C containing more than three times as much as an orange. They also rich in calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and vitamin E, rich in unsaturated fatty acids, and packed with Antioxidants (anthocyanins, a type of polyphenol) and Phytonutrients.
→ Elderberry: Elderberries contain more vitamin C than any other herb, except for blackcurrants and rosehips. The anthocyanins found in elderberries have more antioxidant capacity than either vitamin E or vitamin C. They are also rich in antioxidants, vitamins A, B, flavonoids, and potassium; all of which support immune function.
→ Parsley Leaf: Parsley is a flowering plant native to the Mediterranean. Parsley provides great nutritional value offering many potential health benefits. Parsley is rich in many vitamins, but particularly vitamin C, vitamin A and vitamin K. The main antioxidants in parsley are flavonoids and carotenoids, the two main flavonoids being myricetin and apigenin. Parsley has been traditionally used to treat high blood pressure, allergies, blood clotting, and inflammatory diseases.
